Nue from Tōkyō named themselves after a japanese mythical chimera with body parts of a monkey, a snake, a tiger and a tanuki. They released two 7“es in the late 1980s/early 90s and were explicitly political, as you can probably tell by the Smash-The-Mac-style artwork. This 7“ (the title translates roughly as „still wanna eat that?“) came out in 1988; the first two of its three tracks are simple and unpolished hardcore, with a somewhat snotty edge. The last song is a moody punk rock number which repeatedly veers into either Blitzkrieg Bop or The Stalin‘s 豚に真珠. An interesting and -for Japan- somewhat unusual 7“.
