When I bought this 8“ I had no idea what Götz were like. For some reason, maybe because of the german inspired name, I had been expecting music like that of G-Schmitt. I could hardly have been more wrong. There is nothing sombre, dark, slow or subtle about Götz, who played fast-paced, snotty, cheerful and melodic punk. Too bad Controlled Boy from 1988 remained their one and only release.
