Kono Machi (This City) could be the dictionary entry for calm and meditative music. There is no trace of the cheekiness of their tracks on the R.B.F. 1984 compilation, and I’d dare say this 12“ is even calmer than their flexi 7“ Aoi Sora, and it’s probably the calmest thing I have posted on this blog.
Get it if you’re into the mood for soothing and calming music.
A one track mind flexi 7“ from some time in the mid-eighties by Haidiinatshu. The song differs quite a bit from their tracks on the R.B.F. 1984 compilation, which were a lot more lively and cheeky, the song on this 7“ is calm, piano- and synth-laden new wave.
R.B.F. 1984 is a weird little 8″ compilation ep with a mix of three chords punk, New Wave and Gothic. Kyah on Side A deliver two simple, snotty, bouncy punk rock songs and one slow, brooding gothic/death rock song. Besides these tracks they released a couple of 7″ and 12″ eps in the mid-eighties. Next are Haidiinatshu with two fun and very lo-fi, almost childlike wave numbers. The Loods on Side B sound like they should have been big in 78; they went on to release a huge number of singles and albums on R.B.F. Records. Last are Phaidia with two death rock songs, recorded live in good quality.
