v.a. Starving Dog Eats Master LP

Starving Dog Eats Master, released in 1991 on Bloodsucker records, another classic japanese compilation. Death Side (some of their best tracks on this album) and Nightmare need no further introduction, and Crück are another true gem (especially considering they only ever released compilation tracks). Kathabuta only released a 2×7“ flexi and a tape beside this, Warhead Junk had a split release with Gudon, and Bandit released two albums in the early nineties.

Kathabuta – Tune In Turn On Drop Out 2×7“

I have no idea if Kathabuta („The Skabs“, maybe?) were big LSD users, their style is definitely not psychedlic in any way, though, as this double 7“ flexi from 1990 on Bloodsucker Records has 8 tracks of raging crossover thrash. The production is lo-fi in a good way, as this style of metallic hardcore can easily sound a bit soulless to my punk ears when the production is too clear; but not Kathabuta, this stuff is cool shit. Besides these flexis they also had a tape and a number of compilation tracks.
