„Fallen Idol“ from 1984 was 731’s only release. The band took their name from the murderous Unit 731 of the imperial japanese army, which committed the most brutal and horrendous war crimes by human experimentation in the name of „research“. The five songs on this 7“ are a really cool mix of punk, post-punk and new wave with lots of synths, the occasional sax and drums that can bring Killing Joke to mind.
This is cool shit, why the fuck did this have to be their only release?
