Once again I leave my well trodden patch of hardcore/post punk/goth/punk to deliver some Oi! The Discocks are one of the bands for whom I’ve got a soft spot in my heart even though they’re not the stuff I usually listen to. They’re just so damn catchy and fun, I love ’em. Here is their 1997 single, now enjoy of fuck off!

It was a long time ago that I promised I would go down the slippery slope and post The Discocks, and now finally I get around to posting their 1997 debut LP Long Live Oi!
If you’re into Oi!, this is bouncy, cheerful and fun, and it’s definitely a guilty pleasure of mine.

Btw. back in 1997 I was quite often „Fucked up in the city“, definitely a „Proud punk“, „had my fun tonight“, and I knew a lot about „pogo“, but nothing about „work“.

A while ago I had been threatening to further go down the slippery slope (though I had not been threatening to mercilessly split infinitives, yet here we go…) and post some more Oi!, so here it is: The Discocks’ Class Of ’94 7“, released in ’95.

Enjoy them worshipping The Ejected (and mangling the spoken word part of Have You Got Ten p?)!
