Final Bombs – Very Fragile Thing + People Want Peace 7“

If you’re into hardcore that emphasizes its metallic parts over its punk then this 1997 7“ by the all star incest band (with members of Ghoul, Kyah, RAP, Last Bomb et al) Final Bombs should be your thing. The A side Very Fragile Thing is a mid-tempo song with a simple, repetitive guitar riff, lots of metallic leads and an almost spoked word delivery. People Want Peace on side B is faster and more varied, with Bear Bomb pitching his vocals up a notch. All in all this 7“ reminds me a bit of The More I See by Discharge.

From Where I Stand I See Pain Suffering And Misery

v.a. Game Of Death LP

This 4-band compilation LP is 50% japanese hardcore, 50% thrash metal. On the A-Side, Poison Arts and Death Side deliver the HC, while Final Bombs and the last incarnation of Ghoul are responsible for the metallic B-Side. Death Side’s “Blast In Hell” ist one of my favourite tracks of theirs. The backcover shows some great eighties hair in Ghoul and the Poison Arts, and has Ishiya of Death Side dressed from head to toe in completely tattered rags!

It also proves that the Final Bombs’ drummer had bad taste in t-shirts!
