ムーンスケイプ – Cursed Tape

This tape from 2014 was (afaik) Moonscape’s first release. The recording is a lot rougher than on their split with Unarm, and the songs are maybe a bit less restrained (can I put it like that?) and faster. Style-wise they are still a bit more „old school“, with a Zouo‘esque edge: dark, ominous, nasty, foreboding, great. As a funny side note: the „intro“ is -just like on Ghoul’s Jerusalm 7“- on side B.

That’s the way to go!

Moonscape + Unarm – Split Tape

This 2017 split-tape by Tokyoites Moonscape and Unarm is a re-release of their sold-out 7“ from the same year. Moonscape deliver two tracks of twisted and nasty, mid-tempo metallic hardcore, with little Danny Torrance adding the spoken word parts. Unarm, who recently toured Scandinavia and the USA, offer vicious, politically charged raw punk with a little bit less vacuum cleaner on the guitars compared to some of their previous releases.

This is pure insanity! I love it!
