v.a. Complete Death Live LP

This LP is a bootleg pressing of the 1989 VHS tape of live shows by Sqwad, Poison Arts, Tetsu Arei, Death Side, SxOxB, Final Bombs, Outo and Systematic Death; the LP only has Sqwad, Outo, SxOxB and Poison Arts, though. I mostly bought it for the Sqwad tracks, as it is presently the only vinyl of theirs available not counting their 1989 flexi Set Free Me Out Rock You Out. The sound quality is pretty good, so listening to these live recording is actually fun, although the video (especially Death Side’s AMAZING HAIR) is even better.

Get it!

S.O.B. – Osaka Mon Amour 7“

Oof, now this is a truly loveless bootleg if I ever saw one: the cover is a low quality black and white xerox, the 7“ has no labels, and the songs had to be pitch corrected so they’ll at least have the right tempo/pitch. The songs compilation tracks off Last Punk Osaka, Eye Of The Thrash Guerilla and My Meat’s Your Poison, but there’s a couple of numbers missing. Damn. Quality control, where are you?

But since grindcore pioneers S.O.B. are great even in loveless bootleg shape, here it is anyway. Enjoy! I did!

v.a. My Meat’s Your Poison LP

The My Meat’s Your Poison compilation from 1987 is nothing but classic high-speed thrash from start to finish. I’m not going to waste your and my time describing every single band, after all I’ve already posted releases by all of them: Outo, Chicken Bowels (misspelled on the cover as „Chiken Bowels“), Systematic Death, Gudon, S.O.B. and Lip Cream, they all rule! Still, S.O.B.’s hilarious and over the top cover of Blitzkrieg Bop deserves to be mentioned separately.

Sadly my copy of this record has no lyric sheet.

SxOxB – Don‘t Be Swindle/Leave Me Alone 12″

With this 12″ I guess I’ve posted the last of the bootleg records released on 大阪 Records. It combines SxOxB’s 1986 “Leave Me Alone” 7″ and their 12″ ep “Don’t Be Swindle” from 1987. Both are blast-beating powerhouses, but still very controlled and not yet really grindcore. Sabotage Organized Barbarian must be one of the coolest names you can call your band, especially when you’ve got equally cool lyrics:

Hot summer comes again, let’s go beach!

v.a. Eye Of The Thrash Guerilla LP

Eye Of The Thrash Guerilla is a great compilation with a cool mix of different styles. It’s got great Burning Spirits hardcore by Death Side and 鉄アレイ (Tetsu Arei), wild thrash by Nightmare and Raise Cain, total mayhem by SxOxB and dark d-beat by Crow (who were not nearly as heavy back then as they are now). This version is a german bootleg on the 大阪 records, who also released boots of SxOxB and Outo.

Better an eye of a thrash guerilla than an eye of a tiger…
